” As the Faculty of the Environment at UJEP, we contribute to the STREP project by analysing liquid products and valuable chemical fractions generated through innovative recycling processes and evaluating the mechanical properties of textile materials. Our team supports the project’s ambition to optimise textile disassembly, improve recyclability, and enhance the identification and utilisation of high-value compounds derived from chemical recycling streams. This work strengthens the scientific foundation needed to advance sustainable textile waste management across Europe. Personally, I see this project as both an opportunity and a challenge to work in the field of chemical recycling at an international level, and to contribute, through my role at the Faculty of the Environment, to improving environmental quality and sustainable development within European society.”
